DHI HAIR TRANSPLANT

Unlike FUE, the DHI technique can be explained as a method in which hair follicles taken from the donor area are transplanted to the area to be transplanted with an implanter (pencils) without opening a channel.

How is Hair Transplantation Performed with the DHI Technique?

Unlike FUE, the DHI technique can be explained as a method in which hair follicles taken from the donor area are transplanted to the area to be transplanted with an implanter (pencils) without opening a channel. The Implanter/Choi needle, which has a very thin, cylindrical and sharp structure, is in the form of a channel and the hair is inserted into the needle by being driven along this channel.

DHI Technique Stages;
In hair transplantation performed with the Cholimplanter pen, hair follicles are carefully placed into the pen one by one, and the expert team places them on the scalp one by one in their own direction and angle with the pens.

After the angle and direction of the hair follicles placed in the Choi needle are determined, the transplantation is done with the pushing feature of the needle; 8 to 10 Choi pens and 10-15 Choi tips are used in the operation, the pen tips can be of different sizes, this is determined by the person’s hair root and thickness structure.
The Choi hair transplantation method has different advantages and disadvantages than the FUE method.

DHI Technique Advantages
Transplantation can be done between long hair
The risk of edema is very low
Since the incision area will be smaller, the risk of bleeding is minimized.
The person returns to his/her daily life in a short time with faster recovery after the operation.
Unshaved hair transplantation is easier in this technique.

DHI Technique Disadvantages;
The DHI method is a much more laborious and delicate procedure compared to other methods. Since the items used are purchased with foreign currency and more teams are involved in the process compared to other methods, its cost is also higher than other methods.
A maximum of 3000-3500 grafts can be transplanted per session. DHI hair transplantation takes more time and therefore fewer grafts can be transplanted compared to other methods.
