This procedure begins with the patient deciding on the desired eyebrow shape in consultation with their doctor. Then, local anesthesia is applied to the area to be treated.
The roots taken from the scalp should be placed in very small channels in the skin as extra thinned follicular units in order to avoid any scarring in the area after the procedure and to achieve a natural appearance. The procedure takes approximately 2-3 hours and the first wash is performed by our specialist 2 days after the procedure.
In the area where Eyebrow Transplantation is performed, slight crusting and redness occur for 7 days after the procedure. The transplanted area heals after 7-8 days. It takes three to six months for the transplanted eyebrows to grow completely. Although a second intervention is usually not required, it is aimed to evaluate the development at the end of the sixth month and, if necessary, to achieve the desired result with a second session after 1 year.
Eyelash Transplantation can be defined as the procedure of transplanting healthy hair roots taken from the area called the donor area located at the back of the head between the two ears, as in eyebrow transplantation, to the eyelashes. The grafts extracted from the hairy area are placed in the eyelash area with a special technique.
Unlike hair and eyebrow transplantation, eyelash transplantation is not performed with a channel opening technique first. Transplantation is performed simultaneously with the channel. Starting from the day of transplantation, the transplantation area is kept moist with antibiotic cream. Bruising and swelling may appear in the eyes for 3-4 days. Our patient can return to social life within 8 days. The transplanted grafts grow visibly in 3-6 months and the hairs that grow at first are cut to the desired size.
The rate of hair growth slows down over time. It is not possible to get results like in silk eyelash application, a maximum of 80-100 grafts can be transplanted to 2 eyelashes.
